A good programme comprises more than the sum of the works presented. Space and time, setting and audience are essential, active ingredients of any concert. Out of this conviction, we develop extraordinary, individually tailored programme ideas that arouse curiosity and enthusiasm and make excellent performances of music an intensive experience for the audience. The love for music is at the centre of our work. Experience, professional expertise, and a zest for the new are our strengths. We aim at giving our partners the freedom to put into practice their personal artistic visions.

Reaching beyond fixed genre boundaries, we advise and manage soloists and ensembles in the areas of Early and Classical Music, Contemporary Music and Jazz, and Dance and Performance. Personality and exceptional programmes on the highest musical level are the qualities that distinguish our artists - qualities that have enthused organisers and audiences alike.
Mattis Dänhardt, born in 1958 in Dresden, he already put into practice his enthusiasm for musical project work during his school days, as a founding member and viola soloist of the GDR’s Rundfunk-Musikschulorchester (today: Deutsche Streicherphilharmonie). After graduating in musicology from Halle Martin Luther University he worked at the Dresdner Musikfestspiele for over ten years, first as a dramaturge, then as the music director. Following this appointment, he assumed leading positions at the Dresden opera house (Sächsische Staatsoper, Semper Opera House) and at the Stuttgarter Musik Podium. Since 1999, Mattis Dänhardt has been a freelance dramaturge, writer, music manager, and Higher Education consultant. Tasks such as coordinating master classes, music competitions and education programmes on an international level as well as developing university partnerships led him to as far as China. There, he was managing director of the German Academic Exchange Service's (DAAD) summer schools and organised a concert tour for the orchestra of the Karlsruher Musikhochschule with Pétér Eötvös. Extensive contacts with artists and organisers, and long-term experience in music management were ideal prerequisites to translate, in 2008, the joy of working independently with artists and projects into the launch of mattis concerts.
